Clark Named 2024 SHVFR Firefighter Of The Year

Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Captain Stephen Clark (center) was named the 2024 Firefighter of the Year on Monday, June 3.

Captain Clark has been a member of the fire company since 2009, when he joined its Junior Corps. He has moved up the ranks, serving as a Firefighter, Engineer and then Lieutenant before being elected to his current position in 2022. He is a second-generation member of Sandy Hook VFR; his father Bruce and brother Ryan are also current members and previous Firefighter of the Year honorees.
