Sandy Hook VFR celebrated Labor Day by appearing in our hometown parade, and returned home with another Best Fire Department title.

FIND US THIS WEEKEND DURING THE 2024 HALLOWEEN WALK. Local businesses will have orange balloons to denote participation in the annual pre-Halloween event. We will be in Heritage Park with Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs.
Our Mission
The mission of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., Inc. is to strive for excellence in the performance of prevention of loss of life, personal injury and damage from fire, medical and other emergencies of any or all persons when called upon. We shall do this by maintaining a high standard of training and public education and act and perform in a safe, courteous and professional manner.
